Nunca ha sido Sergio González de morderse la lengua y no lo ha hecho tampoco para dar su opinión sobre el control ejercido sobre los equipos en su regreso a los entrenamientos. Un seguimiento que, en palabras del técnico a Televisión Española, "te llega a molestar". El entrenador del Real Valladolid considera que la implicación del cuerpo técnico es clave para "exigir a tus futbolistas". Más tarde, Sergio también pasó por 'El Partidazo' de COPE y Radio MARCA y dejó otra frase para analizar: "Los cinco cambios no favorecen a los equipos pequeños".
En TVE, Sergio llega a reconocer que en el caso del Real Valladolid ha habido toque de atención desde LaLiga. "Han dado un toque de atención porque han visto que Zidane también participaba en los rondos, que algún miembro del staff estaba activo con los jugadores... Son cosas raras porque es la única forma en la que puedes exigir a tus futbolistas. Hay situaciones en las que, con grupos de ocho o nueve, el esfuerzo es muy grande y tienes que tirar de estos apoyos extra para que los jugadores no se rompan físicamente". MARCA ya informó el martes de que Zidane era el octavo jugador en distintos ejercicios con distintos equipos.
El barcelonés explica que "cuando te faltan futbolistas para que haya algo de superioridad y el esfuerzo no sea tan grande, por ejemplo en un cuatro contra cuatro, necesitas un apoyo extra y hemos tirado de nuestro staff. Tenemos a Diego Ribera y Álvaro Rubio, que aún se mantienen en forma y tienen posibilidad de estar a un buen nivel para hacer un buen entrenamiento, y los utilizamos así para hacer esa ayuda".
Al líder del conjunto castellano le preocupan más cosas del nuevo fútbol. "A nivel de lo que es el entrenamiento individual estamos muy dirigidos y te llega a molestar. Desde LaLiga ya no sólo te dicen qué tienes que hacer, sino cómo tienes que hacerlo: viajes, concentraciones, alimentación, traslado a los campos... Lo que quieres es poder organizarte tú mismo de la mejor manera para hacer lo que creas que le conviene más a tu equipo y sacar su mejor rendimiento"
Un regreso precipitadoNo es la primera vez que durante las últimas semanas Sergio González reprocha a los organismos futbolísticos no haber contado con la opinión de los técnicos de cara a plantear alternativas para el regreso competitivo. "No han tenido ese detalle de poder conversar con nosotros, que somos protagonistas de este deporte, para establecer situaciones o ver qué propuestas del protocolo son acertadas o no".
De hecho, Sergio ve precipitada la vuelta de lo partidos. "El día 12 va a ser algo precipitado porque nos van a faltar sesiones de entrenamiento grupales y normales. Ahora estamos con grupos de 10 como mucho y la semana que viene creo que también seguiremos así porque las fases del Gobierno nos están también impidiendo avanzar un poquito más rápido. Si empezamos el 12 sólo tendremos dos semanas de entrenamientos grupales, con lo que ello conlleva. Como mínimo necesitamos una semana más".
