Los 20 clubes
han respaldado por unanimidad la entrada en vigor de un plan para volver a
entrenar y trabajar para la vuelta de la competición.
La Premier League
va dando pasos para poder reanudarse. Este lunes se ha celebrado una reunión de
los 20 clubes que han decidido por unanimidad que se pueda volver a los
entrenamientos grupales a partir de esta semana como primer paso del protocolo
para que se reanude la competición.
"Los
accionistas de la Premier League votaron hoy por unanimidad a favor del regreso
a los entrenamientos en grupos pequeños desde mañana por la tarde, el primer
paso para reiniciar la Premier League, cuando sea seguro hacerlo.
Step One of the
Return to Training Protocol permite a los equipos entrenar mateniendo el
distanciamiento social. Los entrenamientos con contacto aún no están
permitidos.
Esta primera
etapa ha sido acordada tras consultar con jugadores, entrenadores, los médicos
de los clubes de la Premier League, expertos independientes y el Gobierno. Los
protocolos médicos estrictos del más alto nivel garantizarán que todos vuelvan
a los entrenamientos en el entorno más seguro posible.
La salud y el
bienestar de todos los participantes es la prioridad de la Premier League, y el
regreso seguro al entrenamiento es un proceso que irá paso a paso. El trabajo
ahora continuará con jugadores, gerentes, clubes, PFA y LMA a medida que se
desarrollen protocolos para la vuelta de los entrenamientos con
contactos", explica el comunicado de la Premier.
Asimismo, los
clubes se han emplezado para trabajar juntos en futuras reuniones sobre cómo
serán los protocolos para retomar los entrenamientos con completa normalidad en
las próximas semanas y en última instancia las medidas para que se puedan
disputar los partidos que quedan.
Unas horas antes,
el ministro de Cultura de Gran Bretaña, Oliver Dowden, ha reconocido que están
trabajando para que el fútbol pueda reanudarse en Inglaterra a mediados del mes
de junio aunque siempre con estrictas medidas de seguridad.
“Lo que
buscamos, pero no está todo decidido, es terminar la temporada a puerta cerrada
desde mediados de junio en adelante . Tuve algunas discusiones constructivas el
jueves con la FA, la EFL y la Premier League. Estamos trabajando duro con ellos
para intentar volver. El objetivo es mediados de junio, pero la prioridad
número uno es la seguridad pública. Si podemos hacer esto de una forma segura.
