Ceferin ha sentenciado, en declaraciones recogidas por BeIN Sports, que el
derecho a jugar Champions y Europa League "solo se otorgará por razones
deportivas".

Ceferin, presidente de la UEFA, ha insistido en BeIN Sports en la idea de tener
una hoja de ruta para concluir las competiciones europeas en el mes de agosto.
Dicho "plan concreto", tal y como él lo ha definido, pasa por dividir
cuartos de final y semifinales en dos etapas.
El máximo mandatario
del fútbol europeo se mostró optimista de cara a poder cumplir con sus
intenciones: "tal y como están las cosas ahora, estoy seguro de que
podemos terminar la temporada europea, competencia de la UEFA".
En cuanto a
competiciones nacionales, Ceferin espera que el 80% de ellas puedan concluirse.
Ligas como la francesa o la neerlandesa ya han sido finalizadas, pero la
Premier League, LaLiga o la Serie A esperan su turno para poder regresar y en
la Bundesliga ya rueda de nuevo el balón, por lo que no parece un objetivo
inalcanzable. Todos los partidos "tendrán que disputarse sin
público".
En lo que
respecta a la clasificación para la próxima edición de la Champions y de la
Europa League, Ceferin se mostró muy contundente "se tendrán que jugar
rondas clasificatorias, solo las razones deportivas serán las fórmulas para
clasificarse".
La Eurocopa sigue
expuesta a cambios
Entre los
pensamientos de Ceferin, también se encuentra la Eurocopa. Una vez aplazada al
verano de 2021, se espera que se pueda "permanecer en las mismas once
ciudades".
Sin embargo, el
presidente de la UEFA ha reconocido que con tres ciudades "tienen
problemas. Así que discutiremos más y, en principio, lo haremos en once
ciudades. Pero, si no, estamos listos para hacer la competición en diez, en
nueve o en ocho ciudades".
