
El presidente
de la UEFA cree que agosto será el mes de las competiciones europeas.

Ceferin fue el primer dirigente del mundo del fútbol en hablar de la
necesidad de terminar los campeonatos. Ayer insistió en la errónea decisión
tomada por aquellos países que han cancelado sus campeonatos. "Para
mí, la decisión ha sido prematura. Mi opinión personal es que se ha
suspendido la temporada demasiado pronto. No es lo ideal porque la cosas
pueden mejorar y todo el mundo puede jugar salvo algunos campeonatos. Pero
es una decisión de los gobiernos, ¿y qué pueden hacer los clubes? Respetar la decisión".
El máximo
mandatario habla de la situación a la que podrían llegar los clubes franceses a
los partidos de competiciones europeas. "Tenemos dos clubes franceses que
juegan la Liga de Campeones, y ahora no van a jugar hasta agosto. No sé si esto
es bueno para los equipos, no jugar en partidos duros e importantes como esto.
Los partidos los tendrán que jugar en Francia o en un país neutral. Respeto
la decisión. No nos consultaron porque fue tomada por diferentes organismos en
Francia. No veo por qué las autoridades francesas prohiben un partido sin
público".
Calendario
El Fair Play
financiero y el calendario fueron los otros asuntos tratados por el presidente
de la UEFA en la entrevista concedida a Bein Sport. "Adoptaremos el
sistema financiero. La situación es extraordinaria y no lo vamos a
ocultar. El momento de los clubes no es fácil y todos estamos en el mismo
barco".
Sobre la
finalización de las competiciones europeas, Ceferin afirmó: "Tenemos un
plan. Creo que la mayoría de las Ligas terminarán. El Ejecutivo de la
UEFAconfirmará las fechas, pero puedo decir que si todo va como hasta ahora,
las competiciones europeas terminarán en agosto. Las Ligas nacionales es algo
diferente y cada una decidirá por separado, pero el ochenta por ciento
terminará de jugarse todo".
Respecto a la
próxima temporada se muestra optimista. "Parece que el calendario no se
verá muy afectado. No hay mucho espacio para cambiar las cosas y mi opinión es
que todo seguirá igual. Algunos creen que se empezará un poco más
tarde. Una o dos jornadas de diferencia. Hablo de competiciones europeas. Las Ligas es un asunto aparte"
