Paris Saint-Germain fans' Champions League celebrations were interrupted by a terrifying explosion on Saturday night. The French capital descended into a state of chaos after PSG thrashed Inter Milan in Munich to win European football's most prestigious trophy for the first time.
Thousands of supporters flocked to the streets long before the final whistle as PSG punished Inter with a barrage of goals, making it the widest margin of victory in any European Cup or Champions League final. Footage circulating on social media shows groups of fans running onto motorways and causing lanes of traffic to grind to a halt, as well as fireworks exploding near police officers attempting to control the crowds.
Around 15 minutes after the victory was confirmed, new footage popped up showing a street full of supporters who were shocked by a loud bang and a bright flash of light. Anxious screams could be heard during the video as they turned to the explosion in unison.
Other social media footage shows Parisian streets blocked by flaming barricades, with cars forced to weave around wheelie bins that had been set ablaze. There are also reports of fires near the Parc des Princes - PSG's home stadium - with firefighters called to respond.
Hours before kick-off, in the Champions League final host city of Munich, PSG fans were ambushed by Inter supporters on an underground train. A glass bottle was thrown and flagsticks were wielded as weapons before police intervened with tear gas.

Amid all the chaos, both in Munich and at home, PSG players and coaches will be glad that their irresistible performance against Inter soaked up most of the attention.
The Ligue 1 giants were 2-0 up and cruising at the break, and it had become five goals without response by the time the final whistle blew, with two goals from teenage star Desire Doue and another from 19-year-old Senny Mayulu making the occasion even sweeter.
Having notched treble wins with two different teams, Luis Enrique now deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as managers like Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho, according to Steven Gerrard.
"This team he has created and put together over the past year or two can beat you in any given way," the Liverpool hero told TNT Sports. "The talent across this squad - it is a special group of players and they're getting coached by a special person as well."
