Premier League club make contact over big-name Manchester United signing as key decision made
Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof wants to stay in the Premier League as he weighs up his next move.
This decision has prompted Wolves to make contact with the Swedish centre-back over a potential summer transfer once he becomes a free agent.
Lindelof is close to the end of his contract at Old Trafford, and, as we reported a few days ago, Man Utd won’t be offering him a new deal.
The Red Devils have plenty of other defensive options ahead of Lindelof in the pecking order, so it makes sense that they’re willing to let him go.
Wolves now seem to be leading the race for Lindelof’s signature, though other Premier League clubs have also been linked.

Lindelof might not be good enough to be a starter for United, but he’s had a solid career as a squad player at Old Trafford, and he’s shown that he could be someone who’d have a positive impact for a club like Wolves.
It could be a big summer of change at Molineux, with some of the club’s star players attracting interest, while replacements will also be needed.
Matheus Cunha has been linked with United, while Rayan Ait-Nouri has attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.
Wolves will need to be active on the market if key players like this leave, and snapping up a free agent like Lindelof could be a good place to start.
The 30-year-old is also wanted back by his former club Benfica, but his preference to stay in the Premier League should give Wolves an important advantage.
